Our Mission

We make home and skin products with as few ingredients as possible, starting with real beeswax. Simple by principle, not by accident.

Our Farm

Our small farm is located in historic downtown Concord, Massachusetts—the birthplace of the American Revolution, home to Thoreau’s Walden Pond, and home to the nation’s oldest organic farm. Concord has a rich political, literary, and agricultural history, and we are proud to be small contributors to that tradition.

Affectionately described as “the duck house,” our property is home to a small flock of egg-laying ducks, honeybee hives, perennial asparagus beds, and fruit trees.

“mmm this lip balm is just what I was looking for-provides protection from sun without making my lips white! It is not too waxy nor too oily-just right. the goldilocks of lip balm.”

Our Story

When Bonnie moved from the Adirondacks to Massachusetts, she discovered the surprising power of honeybees to help with her new pollen allergies. She trained as a beekeeper through the Essex County Beekeepers Association and established her first hives in 1999.

She had also long dreamed of having a farm with sheep. Through persistence and a lot of hard work, that dream became reality when she and her family created Spencer Brook Farm in Concord, Massachusetts. The certified organic farm raised heritage-breed sheep, goats, poultry, and waterfowl, along with honeybees and winter salad greens grown in hoophouses during the cold New England months. Spencer Brook Farm remained in production until 2009.

Bonnie later moved to a village home in Concord Center—once the home of historian Doris Kearns Goodwin. The smaller property still houses bees and ducks and has created opportunities for closer engagement with the community.

Bonnie made her first batch of lip balm in 2003 using extra beeswax from the hives. The formula was refined in small batches over the years and shared only with family and friends. In 2023, Bonnie began selling Everyday Lip Balm at Verrill Farm, and the business has been growing ever since.
